Claudia Mae Gipson
Age 76, a resident of Springdale, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Earlene Howard Hospice Home in Springdale. She was born October 28, 1940 in Pitkin, Louisiana, the daughter of Fred and Ethel (McMullen) Williams.
Claudia retired from Cooper Industries. After retirement she continued to work caring for other elderly people at Peachtree Retirement Center and Area Agency on Aging. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, working in her flower beds and with house plants. She was known for feeding and helping find homes for the neighborhood stray cats.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her step mother Ollie Mae Williams, one daughter Rebecca Ann Nieto; two brothers Harold and Winston Williams; two grandsons Wesley Garrett Johnson and Aaron William Wise.
Survivors include four daughters Patricia D. Montgomery, Belinda Gonzalez, Norma McNeil and husband Thomas, and Calinda Prince and husband Ricky Lougee; twenty grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 24, 2017, 6:00-7:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 25th, 2017, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held.
