My family is extremely sorry for your untimely loss. We have been customers of Mr Jones for the last 9 years and he was always willing to share all his knowledge with us. It was amazing the way he would take the time to stop and work with my kids (8 and 9 now) when they would ask him questions about any of the animals, etc. He will be extremely missed by all our family members!!!

Dear Debbie, Heath, Dennis, Becky, Connie, Don, and other family members. I am so sad to read about Dan's passing in the Daily Union. The field of agriculture and FFA brought us to be friends. I am so very sorry that we didn't keep better in touch after you & Dan moved to Arkansas. I often remember all the laughs, good times we had on the farm, in school, and Dan's beautiful blue Chevrolet Chevelle SS. My condolences and thoughts to all during this time.

I am so sorry for y'all's loss. I have been a long time friend of Dan. I started an aquarium when my children were 3 and 4 to teach them about fish and cleaning and feeding. My children are now almost 26 and 27. Dan kept us up on how to take care of a tank and would even take my trade in Oscars; we upgraded to a 50 gallon and I was just thinking yesterday I need to call Dan and see if he will take this fish. It has jumped out of the tank twice. It opens the lid. He is a red oscar. I could not believe when my husband told me today that Dan had passed; that he was in the accident on 59. Steve told me they were having a tribute for Dan at the shop. There has been so much chaos in my life since my brother passed in December then his baby girl two days after Dan. I will miss talking to him and he be honest with his information and not trying to sell me some BS that I don't need. As soon as I started talking he would know it was me. My speaking voice is pretty hick. I am going to miss him very much. I remember going into the shop once when he was on pointer trail and had the kids in tow and he said hey I got something for you and he comes out with a duck and says here y'all can have this.....we kept it as long as we could....eventually we did give the duck to a friend and daffy became a daffney....I remember Dan's yearly excursions to Wisconsin; during one of those trips I walked into the shop and after seeing the fish; I said what the hell happened; every fish was belly up. The water temp got messed up. I think I told the person working they needed to put closed on the door and lock it that mess was and then open the door. And the Chinese loaches from hell we purchased once; my daughter and I chased those horrible devils all over the tank till we got them out and flushed them. They were killing my other fish; they should have been called leaches. I sure hope the family keeps the store open but understand if they can't....love you guys, God Bless. I am so sorry for your loss
