Gary Paul Gibney

76 a resident of Jenks, Oklahoma, passed away July 2, 2015 in Jenks, Oklahoma.

Gary was born November 9, 1938 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Paul Hubert and Margaret H. Arthurs Gibney.

He attended the Prairie Grove Public School and graduated from Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the young age of 16. Gary served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a graduate of the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Gary received a Master of Arts from Central Michigan University. He was a certified Fraud Specialist and a Senior Investigator for United States General Accountability Office. Gary retired from the State of Oklahoma Auditors Office as a Senior Investigating Officer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two grandchildren Tripp Lawson Gibney and Matthew Truett Gibney.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years Donna Gibney; three children Laura Brewster and husband Kent of Bixby, Oklahoma, Leah Vaughan of Jenks, Oklahoma and Philip Gibney of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; one sister Cheryl Schuman and husband Jeff of Bethesda, Arkansas; one brother-in-law Lewis Long Jr. and wife Pat of Glenpool, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren Anthony Brewster and wife Angie, Cale Wilborn, Melanie Brewster, Chelsey Murray and husband Royal, Kristin Brewster, Cassie Wilborn, Gage Brewster, Christopher Vaughan, Clayton Gibney, Caleb Gibney and Parker Gibney; nine great grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew.

Funeral service will be held Monday July 6, 2015 3:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

A second memorial service will be held at St. James Presbyterian Church in Jenks, Oklahoma, Wednesday July 8, 2015 1:00 P.M.
