Obituary

Gary Rex McClellan

72, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away August 23, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born August 5, 1943 in Brownwood, Texas, the son of Orin Brewster and Nieta Hillary Trammel McClellan.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a crewman on the USS Ruchamkin (APD-89), was a member of the Arkansas Cattleman’s Association, President of Ark-Oma Whirl-Aways Square Dance Club for over 10 years, and led and volunteered with Washington County 4-H for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Darlene Browers McClellan of the home; Three sons, Dallas McClellan and his wife, Lisa, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Shawn McClellan and his wife, Gina, of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Dustin McClellan and his wife, Amber, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Seth, Payton, Emily, Cole, Cassidi, Slader, Rylee, and Blayne.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 - 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln. Burial was in the McClellan Cemetery in Cane Hill, Arkansas.
