Jackie Uselton was a 2nd father to me in my teenage years. I respected and looked up to him. He was a great influence on me and my life. I attended his church in Dyess, AR and became friends with his son Dewayne. Dewayne has has remained a valued friend whom I feel is a brother to me. Because of Jackie, I met Dewayne, because of Dewayne, I met Mark, then Dina, and then my wife of now 31 years. God is always in control. Although your missed you, glad you're in heaven

I've been sitting here for awhile thinking about Bro Uselton, all the times he prayed over me and my family. My family started attending church in Lincoln when I was 8yrs old. I've always been more on the quiet side, but that never bothered Bro Uselton, he'd talk my leg off anyway. He just loved me for who I was and never missed an opportunity to tell me so. That always meant so much to me. I was 11yrs old when Bro Uselton lead me to Jesus. When I was a teenager, I locked my keys in my car and there was no one around to help me. Bro Uselton drove all the way to Morrow and unlocked my car, smiling the whole time. It only took him about 3minutes, then he took off because he had an appointment. Then, there was the time he called me out of the blue and wanted me to come to the hardware store in Lincoln. I went down there and somehow he figured out I needed a new car battery. He tried really hard to persuade me to let him buy a new one, but I didn't let him. I still don't know how he knew I needed a battery. I have many other stories just like these. He allowed the love of Jesus to shine through every chance he got. I count myself blessed to have known this man of God and the influence he had in my life has made me who I am today.

Jackie Uselton was such a great minister and friend to my family - My dad always loved his phone calls from him to just check in - now they are at home together with our Lord. May God's peace and love surround the family at this time - He is Home after his work was done.

Brother Uselton was a fine man of God and one of the greatest men I've ever known. Always smiling, joking, and speaking the word of God. He was very special to me and my family for many years. He preached my dad's brother and dad's mother's funerals, my mom's grandma, mother, and father's funerals, he baptized me, my dad, my sister, my grandma, my great grandma, and my niece in his church or worship. He has had a huge impact in my family's life. My prayers and heart go out to him and his family. God gained a lovely man in Heaven. He will be dearly missed, NEVER forgotten, and will be reunited with his friends and family one sweet day. The song that came to mind as soon as I heard the news is "what a day that will be"! I know Brother Uselton is singing and shouting with the Lord and there is nothing better than that! Forever I will miss you and love you. Peace be still!

What a great loss for this earth and a gain for Heaven. He was a great man of God but also a great counselor. He had such love for all. He touched my life in such a meaningful way. He will be missed for sure. Love you all.

Though a wonderful man is no longer here in earth, Heaven has received a new servant. A wonderful man that touched a lot of lives. I did not have the pleasure of knowing this man, but any man that can raise a son like Dewayne had to be a great person. Dewayne I know you and your family has witness a great loss , but find comfort in knowing he is now with his Heavenly Father! My prayers and of course thoughts are with you and yours during the next few months these were the hardest for me when my daddy passed. But know that Eddie and I are here for you and Lynne as you go through these days ahead. We love y’all and are here for y’all. “Father be with Dewayne and his family as they mourn the lost of their love one. But let them find comfort in knowing you have him in your arms now. We ask this in your name amen! ??
