Please accept our deepest sympathy and condolences in the loss of your patriarch. What a cool old guy. Wish I'd had more times with him. My uncle perished in Luzon. Wish I could have spoken to Sr about those days. The slide show is awesome ! What a nice tribute and remembrance. You'll miss him but his flame burns deeply in all of you. God Bless you all. Rest in peace Sr.

I was asked by Holly to tell a couple of my memories. Well Mr Kichline was my bus driver for several years when I started school. I would watch him drive by the house and then run up to catch him on the way back. He missed me once or twice because I would run out of the house too late. He would often catch seeing me and stop just on the other side of the drive. But I love my memories of him driving an old gray panel wagon that had books in it. He would come out in the summer time to let me and other children in the country get Library books in the summer, I can remember climbing up in the truck and gong through the boxes of books he had. He would come out once or twice a week. When I was older I would see him and Doc Boyd out and about and would always say Hi. I Love them two men, then were awesome. I hope you all enjoy reading these, as much as I enjoy the memories. Thanks Mr. Kichline you gave me wondering memories that make me smile.

Mr. Kichline came to my fourth grade class several years ago to speak to us about his life and experiences. My students took an instant liking to him. He was a very animated and spirited speaker, and the children listened intently to every word. His stories were highly entertaining to us all. I am very thankful that we got to meet him. My thoughts are with the whole family in this time of loss. America has become the great nation it is because of the dedication, sacrifice, and work of men like Mr. Kichline.
