He was proceeded in death by his wife, Betty; his mother, Susie; his father, Andrew; four brothers: Johnny, Raymond, Odell and Floyd; and five sisters: Marie, Velma, Margaret, Peggy and Thelma.
Leon retired from the University of Arkansas after many years of employment. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved camping, hunting and fishing and loved to eat fish and hot dogs. Leon joined the Army with his best friend Dwayne Hickman. He was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana. He was in the Army for four years.
He was a loving brother and friend. He was always grateful for everything and he lived life to the fullest. We will all miss him.
Leon is survived by his stepson, John Hutton; four sisters: Mary, Wanda, Linda and Vera; two brothers: Rickey and Jackie and many extended family.
Graveside goodbyes for Leon will be Friday, June 24, 2016 at 4:30pm at Tharp Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
