Obituary

Lloyd Raymond Seward

57, a resident of Westville, Oklahoma, passed away July 13, 2016 at his home in Westville. He was born November 11, 1958 at Sundown, Texas, the son of Wid W. and Louise Imelda Zernicek Seward.

Lloyd was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend of many loved ones. He was easy going, happy and of wonderful spirit. His love for his family and friends was shown by his tireless efforts to help them in any way. Lloyd was a professional craftsman that could figure out anything that had to do with building, mechanics, art, or problem solving, etc. He shared his knowledge within his community, friends, and family freely and most of the time at no charge for fabulous services rendered! He would build creations (artistic or otherwise) that would leave people in AWE! There was nothing he could not figure out a solution to that would take less work and be more effective. Lloyd backed his knowledge and abilities with a bachelor degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Drafting and was OSHA Safety approved, etc. His knowledge and kind deeds were shared and experienced by many. He was a gentleman and a good ole boy. He lived by example of hard work and ethics. His favorite words were, “Just be Happy”. He lived by those words and we know he is in heaven with his loved ones whom have preceded him in death and our God of All Creations; and he is experiencing what the rest of his family will share when they all see him again! Farewell dearest friend - Lloyd! We will miss YOU!

Survivors include two sons, Raymond Seward and wife Julie of Edmond, Oklahma and Marcus Seward and wife Leslie of Bentonville, Arkansas; two daughters, Sheila Jarrett and husband Josh and Megan Guinn all of Westville, Oklahoma; five brothers James Seward of Rogers, Arkansas, Robert Seward of Houston, Texas, Henry Seward of Gentry, Arkansas, Paul Seward of Conway, Arkansas, Tom Seward of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Elizabeth Waldrop of Dutch Mills, Arkansas; Kathy Snodgrass of Lincoln, Arkansas and Jane Brady of Dutch Mills; seven grandchildren, Adrianna and Abram Jarrett, Mason and Braxton Guinn, Tiana Seward and Baylor Boyd, and Miles Seward.

It's always shocking when you hear of someone you know passing and way to young at that. I remember Lloyd from school at Lincoln High. He was always so cool. He will be missed.

Two things I will always remember about Lloyd...first, his laugh. Second, his amazing artistic ability. I can remember way back in grade school watching him draw. Glad he was part of our class and part of our lives.
Carol Morelock - Classmate
For Ray and family, I am so sorry for your loss. If Ray is a reflection of his father, I'd say Lloyd was a pretty great guy. My prayers and thoughts are with the entire Seward family.
Ed Saucier - Co-worker, friend of Ray
Although I made your service and spoke, I failed to submit my tribute... Lloydee, as we lovingly, teasingly called you when we were little was one of the most creative, fun loving personalities I have ever known. My sister Patty had a special bond with Lloyd. Like Lizzie, Patty's personal space was always a bit bigger. Patty was reserved... shy and wasn't comfortable around just anyone. Lloyd was able to break through all that and became one of her staunchest earliest protectors, supporters and cousin-brother. I will always remember you for that. You were loved while you were here and are sorely missed!
Lei - Cousin
