Tributes

Bud, Russ, Ralph and families. I am so saddened by your loss. Mae was a friend of our family as long as I can remember. She was a great 4-H leader and helped out kids and just about everyone without expecting anything in return. I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew her and I fondly remember all the good times we had at the lake and at her house when I was a kid. May God comfort you as only He can.

Mabel will truly be missed at the Maples. I have never met such an awesome laid back lady. She and mom bonded so well, I just wish it could have been for a longer period. Thanks to your entire family for accepting my mom with open arms the way you all did. Mabel was a blessing to my mom!

We are remembering Mae with our favorite memory of her--in the kitchen on Sunday afternoon, getting ready to feed the boys she loved best. Her crochet projects welcomed our brides, and cuddled our babies as they arrived. Her baskets carried our wife's projects to and from.... From encouraging our 4-H projects to work in the summertime Mae supported our efforts and our antics. Summertime meant hauling hay and then meeting at the Venesian Inn---good friends, good food and a fair amount of ribbing.... Remembering Mae, as a second Mom, like so many others who gathered at her Sunday table. May God grant you comfort, as we celebrate the life that meant a lot to us growing up.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Memories are a true treasure.

May your family find comfort in the knowledge that Mae lived such a full life, being friend and good neighbor to so many people in our community. She was certainly that for my family.
