Obituary
Martha Lee (Stackley) Auer, 83, of Farmington, AR, formerly of ElDorado, KS, passed away
December 20, 2014 at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab, in Prairie Grove, AR. Martha was born to Fred and Lilah (Freeman) Stackley on February 14th, 1931.
She graduated from ElDorado High School in 1949. On June 11, 1950, she married her best friend, Charles Duane Auer. They were married for 50 years. Martha was a rancher’s wife and a private duty nurse. She was one of the first to sell Tupperware in the ElDorado area. She was active in the ElDorado Boosters 4-H club both as a member and then a leader. After moving to Arkansas, she worked for Tyson Foods. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was most important to her.
Her husband, Duane, preceded her in death on January 31, 2001.
She is survived by her four daughters and their husbands, Sherry and Chris Carmichael of New City, NY; Kim and Dr. Tim O’Neill of Farmington, AR; Deana and Michael Garbow of Clinton, AR; Duann and Robert Rhodes of Lancaster, PA. She has nine grandchildren, three grand son-in-laws and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. December 22, 2014 at Carlson Funeral Home in ElDorado, KS.
A celebration of her life will be held on December 23, 2014 - 2:00 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, ElDorado , KS. Interment will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
