I'm so glad I came back from Little Rock and was able to be a part of Leona's life for the last 20 years. She got me interested in making quilts- especially the bow-tie block. She and my Dad made me appreciate gardens and canning. I will miss her.

We were blessed to have known Leona as she was a truly wonderful person and a loving soul mate for Howard for the 36 years they were together. One of my deepest regrets will always be that we were unable to attend her memorial service. She touched many lives and we will think of her often.
