Phil Douglas Miner
Age 71, a resident of Decatur, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Fayetteville. He was born December 20, 1946 in Fayettville, Arkansas, the son of Hiram "Smokey" and Ruby "Ione" (Terry) Miner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Preston Miner and one great grandson Samuel Ruckle.
Survivors include his son Mark Miner; two daughters Angie Siffing and husband Larry and Misty Ruckle and husband Rob; seven grandchildren Blake Ruckle and wife Kayla, Morgan Ruckle, Haily Reaves and husband Jared, Sarah West and husband Ethen, Larry Dean Siffing, Connor Miner and Tailor Miner; five great-grandchildren; one nephew Shannan Miner and one niece Shanea Miner.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 - 5:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.

I had no idea we would lose my daddy so soon. I keep saying I wanted more time, yet I also keep saying dad’s in Heaven. I promised him “I will see you soon daddy”. While this happened so quickly, our lives with dad were a lifetime of love. He was a man of few words, but a man that no one wanted to let go.
I love you Daddy. I bought this home & land specifically for you to grow old in, to take care of you in. At the same time God was building a home for you, for us. I know without a doubt when you left us yesterday morning & made that step into Heaven, God said “job well done my child. Job well done.” I love you Dad! I’ll see you soon. ~ Misty

Phil was a wonderful man. I was married to him for 21 years, we were together 3 years before we married.He was a good husband for the most part. I never stopped loving him but I couldn’t make him continue to love me. He was always a loving Daddy and never mistreated any of us. I’m sorry for your loss kids and I love all 3 of you with all my heart.
