77, a resident of Evansville, passed away May 5, 2015 at his home. He was born August 3, 1937 in Randolph Center Vermont, the son of Harold Martin and Erma Doris Morse Ballou.
He was an Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the 77th Illinois Fighting Brigade Civil War Reenactors.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bessie Ballou, one step son Bruce Derby and one brother, Ronald Ballou.
Survivors include one daughter Lois Derby of Dover, NH; one step son Alvin D. Derby and wife Mary Ann; one step daughter Juanita Bradshaw and husband Charley Gene; three sisters, Beverly Ballentine and husband John of Zephter Hills, FL, Louise Bell of Machester, NH, and Carolyn Ricci and husband John of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.
Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery near Evansville, Arkansas. No graveside services will be held at the cemetery.
