Obituary

Ronald David Moore 62, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Washington Regional Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born on April 17,1954 in Santa Maria, CA. He was the son of Ray and Mary Ethel Armer Moore.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 8 And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.

Ronald was a devoted family man. He was so proud of his children and their accomplishments. He was a loving and attentive grandfather. He was so proud of Kunal and loved holding and singing to him as an infant. Ron had strong morals and values and instilled these ideals in his children through life lessons. He was determined and loyal. If he was your friend, he was your friend for life. He graduated from West Fork High School in 1972 and received his Bachelor of Science of Vocational Education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville 1978. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 25 years as an I/R manager, outside plant, and began a second career as an electrician at the age of 50.

Ron was conservative in all things, but he was quirky and could surprise people with an unusual and unexpected comeback when discussing anything from hunting to politics. He was considered by many to be wise and they sought him out for advice. He was a selfless and giving man. He was our hero.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Judy Hunton Moore, and his daughter, Morgan Dash and her husband, Rajesh, of Bentonville, Arkansas, and his son, Dr. Chance Moore and his wife Quyen Nguyen Moore of Nashville; Tennessee; one grandson, Kunal Bradley Dash; siblings, two brothers, Louis Moore and his wife, Janice of Tulsa, Gary Moore of Tulsa; two sisters, Carol Stolz and her husband, Ralph, of Windsor, CO, and Dixie Thompson and her husband, Gary of Omaha, AR, and a host of nieces and nephews. He really appreciated and wanted to recognize these special friends that supported him during his illness. They were Allen Haegele, Bob Atkins, Larry Evans and Dwane Scism.

The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, February 18th at the New Hope Church, 13746 Greasy Valley Road, Prairie Grove, Arkansas at 11 o’clock.

So sad to hear about Ron. I always asked Dwane how Ron was doing and he would say Dana he's fighting the fight. I thought, I hope I am strong like him if I have to face what he did. Always had a kind word for me and a smile. It was a honor to have known him. My prayers are with you.
