The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Garrett is that I usually had to wake him up during 1st period - he always seemed to know what was going on though! He made me laugh, and he was the kind of kid that you just have to like. My prayers and sorrow are for his family and his friends who are suffering through this loss. Garrett impacted many people at Prairie Grove High School and he will not be forgotten.

Garrett was only in my class in the 10th grade, but he hung out in my yearbook class almost everyday as a senior during his community service time. He actually became a part of the staff. His smile made me smile, and his quick wit made me laugh out loud. I will always carry the vision of his long legs stretched out in front of him as he sprawled in his chair with his arms crossed over his chest with his small, sideways smile almost always in place. Even if this tragedy had never happened, Garrett is someone I would never have forgotten, and if I had a list of all time favorites, he would be on the list. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the many, many people who loved him.
Barbara Gaulin - High School Teacher

Garrett was in the group of kids I always refer to as "My Babies." They were the first class of kids I ever taught at PG, and each and every one of them is special to me. I love them all. To know that one of them is gone breaks my heart. I can still see a ninth grade Garrett flashing me a little pouty smile and asking, "Mrs. Warren, why do you always pick on me?" That pouty smile would always make me smile, and he knew it. My heart breaks for all of his family, for his friends, for all of us who were blessed enough to know him.
