Obituary

02/15/1919 Mrs. Avery Brought Here for Burial Mrs. Azlea Avery died at her home in Gypsum, Kan., Feb. 10 of pneumonia following influenza, after an illness of one week. The remains reached here Wednesday and were taken to the Sharp graveyard for burial. They were accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Stella Noonen of Gypsum, and Mr. Bert Oliver of this place, he having reached her bedside Saturday before her death. Mrs. Avery was born at New Sulphur, south of Prairie Grove, 59 years ago and was a daughter of the late Will Oliver. In early girlhood she was converted and united with the Methodist Church, in which church she has ever lived. Beside her husband, she is survived by a son, Mr. Bert Oliver of this place; Mrs. Edna McDonald and Mrs. Stella Noonen of Gypsum. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers: W. A. Oliver of Prairie Grove, C. A. Oliver of Alberta, Canada, Mrs. S. E. Crouch of Prairie Grove, and Jennie McKenzie of Boise City, Idaho. Rev. T. P. Harrison, an old friend of the family, conducted the funeral service and the body was laid to rest beside her parents.
