Obituary
Bonita Jane Hill-Curtsinger
Age 80, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, moved from Washington Regional Medical Center to her New Heavenly Mansion on August 12, 2025. She was born January 30, 1945 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Paul and Beulah Gage in Canehill, Arkansas.
She has attended Hale Mountain Holiness Church since she was a small child, where she played the piano, and accepted Jesus into her heart at an early age. Bonita had an unshakable faith that served her well as she cared for her late husband, Jack Hill, and her present husband Robert. She has been a loving step-mom to 4 bonus adults and their children.
She attended Fayetteville Business College, then worked at Shakespeare of AR from 1966 until they closed the plant. After she and Jack married, they moved to Sand Springs until he retired – Then- They traveled!!!
She was an avid Mickey & Minnie Mouse Collector (all shapes and sizes), even creating a room to display them, along with Campbell Soup Cups, Hen on Nest Glass Dish Collection, and so much more. She loved to fish, bake bread, travel with family on vacations, and go to church often. She was very active at the Senior Center in Lincoln, where she met her Robert and played a mean game of corn hole. Bonita was a Big cut-up and prankster, and her wit was surprising to those who didn’t know her well.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Jack Hill, her step son, Jackie Dale Hill, her parents, Paul & Beulah Gage, her brother-in-law, Russell Carlton, and her grandparents.
She is survived by husband, Robert Curtsinger, his son Doug Curtsinger & wife Janet Darlene, and their 3 children, Jamie Coll, Amanda Kimball, and son Robert Curtsinger. Her sister Paulette Carlton, nephew Brian Carlton & Wife Tammy and their three boys, Luke, Justin and Evan, nephew Jeff Carlton, stepdaughter Kathy Hampton & husband Mike – their children, Chance, Tye, & Rickey, stepson Mike Hill & wife Becky and children Trista, Brandon & Jerrod, Stepdaughter-in-law, Mary Jane Hill and children Amy, Lori Beth & Clint.
She was blessed to have had 2 loving and respectful marriages. We could all learn a lesson on how to love and treat your spouse. Bonita would want you to honor her memory by going to church, give your heart to God, live a Godly life, Love hard, Laugh a lot, And make every day special. If you want to see her again – You must be born again!!!

Tributes

She is with her Mom and Dad. She never met her dad in this life as he died in Europe Dec 16, 1944 at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a medic in the army and died saving other soldiers. Her and I had a bond of being the same age but she always said the was older by 5 months. Rest in peace sweet cousin.

Oh Bonita, how I shall miss your laugh and the Joy in your heart! Always such a pleasure to be around you, your energy and vivaciousness was infectious! I felt blessed to be around you. I love you but am glad you are no longer hurting. Prayers of Peace over Robert and the family she left behind.

Oh my dear friend- I already miss you so much, and looking back at your seat at church Thursday night was so so hard knowing that you will never be occupying that seat again. Your infectious laugh and fun and crazy personality will forever be stamped on my brain and in my heart. You are the true meaning of a Christian, unwavering in your faith and commitment to God and your church. The only way we can feel better is just knowing that you are dancing on the streets of gold with a lot of people you love and we love and you are not in pain anymore. Rest in peace our dear sweet Bonita and we will see you soon.

I met Bonita at the Lincoln Senior Center a few years ago. She was always so friendly and caring. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone was like Bonita. She always asked about Gary and how he was doing. I think it would be very safe to say that Bonita was just a big kid at heart; loved having fun. That is very evident by seeing all her pictures. She
loved the Lord for sure. Her presence will be missed by all her friends.

My sweet Neighbor Bonita, what a sweetheart in our neighborhood.. you brought us your famous cinnamon rolls when we moved in next door. Everyone loved you. Even the cows across the fence miss the goodies you gave them. We miss you so much, but we know where you are now & that gives us peace.
