Attened school with Joe 7th-12th grades, he spent a lot of time at our home or just hanging out. You couldn't help but love him. He will be remembered for his SMILE, I never saw him angry or unhappy. Your family will be in our prayers, knowing God is the only one that can comfort you in the days ahead. He will be missed but always remembered.

I am so incredibly sorry about Joe's accident and untimely passing. I remember him so clearly: as a young man who didn't let a broken leg slow him down, and later, as a young husband working on his house. And that grin of his; who could ever forget that! What a prankster! Though I hadn't seen Joe in many years, I remember him very fondly. My parents, too, remember Joe well. He spent a lot of time at that house in his younger days! I am so sorry for your loss.

Joe was my first boyfriend and was a great guy. I have not seen Joe since High School, but he was a true to himself guy. And I'm sure he is was as a Man as well. What you see is what you get with Joe and that is what I loved about him. I think of him often and will enjoy good memories of Joe. I will have the family in my prayers. With love Rhonda.

i would see Joe in and about around town on occassion, he always had a smile to greet me. i knew him when he was still in school. he was a friend of my sister so i saw him quite often. we got along extremly well. he use to come by my apartment when he got out of school one or two days a week just to visit and take out my trash! (which was a running joke to us everytime we ran into each other) hadn't seen him in about year. It's a sad time and my sympathy goes out to everyone in his family and to his friends that he was close too! RIP Joe, you will be missed.

Marina Roles - I Am A Cousin To Morgan His Daughter.

Joe always had a smile on his face. He was someone that would make you smile no matter what kind of day you were having. He was kind hearted and always ready to help someone in need. He was a very strong person. I will miss him dearly. He has touched many life's in his lifetime, including mine.
Jan Kelly - Attended High School & Life Time Friend

I attended school with Joe from Jr. High thru High School. We also worked together at Marshalltown tool for several years. Joe was always the guy that would pick you up when you were having a bad day. It didn't matter what he was going thru, he was always concerned about what was going on with everyone else. Taken way to soon, he will be missed. There is comfort to be found in god. He says he will never place more burdens on our shoulders than we can carry. As always lean on him for support and he will see you thru. Until we see each other again, "Bondo"

I loved this man like a brother. It is as if a piece of me is missing and will be forever. Hunting won't be the same. Fishing won't be the same. Nothing will be the same. If you loved him like I did, go out into the world and practice random acts of kindness....just like he did. And when you do, think of Joe.
