Clyde Curtis

78 a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away September 19, 2006 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born April 28, 1928 at Bergman, Arkansas, the son of Cortis Earl and Ethel Winnie Jackson Curtis.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Lincoln. Clyde was a lifetime member of the Lincoln Riding Club, where he served as President and Board member for many years. Clyde was a member of the Operator and Engineers Local Union. He was a loving Father, Grandfather, And Great Grandfather. Clyde was one of the best hazers and team ropers in this area when he was younger.

He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Boling Curtis, six brothers, Ray, Abury, Benny, Doy, Alfred, and Carthel Curtis; one Sister, Oleta Widner.

Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Braly and her husband, Ray of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Dana Stanfill and her husband Rodney of Westville, Oklahoma; two sons, Danny Curtis and his wife Jessie and Buddy Curtis and his wife Blendia both of Westville, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Danya, Bridgett and Bryan Curtis, James Ray and Jason Stanfill and his wife Kenli, Paul and Glenn Braly; four great grandchildren, Bobby and Allison Braly, Riley Stanfill, and Tru Joi Curtis; one sister, Leota Webb of Harrison, Arkansas; one brother, Henry Curtis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one step sister, Sue Simmons Groff of Texas; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 22, 2006 - 10:00 A.M. at the Lincoln Cemetery with Jack Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Lincoln Scholarship Fund %Lincoln High School - 201 E School Street - Lincoln, AR 72744.

Pallbearers will be James Ray Stanfill, Jason Stanfill, Bryan Curtis, Paul Braly and Glenn Braly.

Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Crudup, Jr. McCratic and Richard Curtis.
