He was always community minded and served as an Alderman for the town of Newellton for 10 years, coached his daughters in T-ball as well as high school softball, and was very involved in his church especially with the youth. After retirement, he moved to Prairie Grove, Arkansas to be near family where he spent his time with grandkids, family and friends, hunting, fishing, attending ballgames, volunteering at church, and making beautiful memories.

I never thought my high school buddy would leave this world before me. We had a lot of fun times back then. Sylvia, do you remember the double dates you and David and Marsha and me had? We couldn't go out in my pickup so we had to depend on David to get his folks car. Marsha says hello and it sure looks like you and David had a fun time together and you have a beautiful family. Thinking of you. Brooks Miller

Sylvia: So sorry to learn about David. I saw the obituary in the Courier. David and I spent many hours together working at Sunflower in high school and I always considered him a friend. I wish we had been closer when I lived in Natchez and y'all lived in Vidalia. The thing I remember most about David and I still say it myself was "it ain't no big thing". Best wishes to you and your family and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
