David John Rogers

81 a resident of Hogeye, Arkansas, passed away February 28, 2010 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born October 3, 1928 in Cedarville, Arkansas, the son of Ed and Agnes S. Fain Rogers.

He was a member of the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church near Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Matthew, Bill, Leonard and Jim Rogers; one sister, Jessie M. Gruber; one grandson, Perry Gum.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Rogers of the home; three sons, Mike Rogers of Kansas City, Kansas, and John Rogers of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and John Smith of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; six daughters, Carol Fleming of Turlock, California, Cherokee Dickey of Turlock, California, Paula Walker of Dutch Mills, Arkansas, Janell Prater of Hog Eye, Arkansas, Kathy Hamilton of Van Buren, Arkansas and Jenny Thomas of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two brother, Joe Rogers of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Pete Rogers of Van Buren, Arkansas; two sisters, Betty Harris of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Faye Laufer of Athens, Greece; twenty-six grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church prior to funeral service.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 - 2:00 P.M. at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church near Prairie Grove, Arkansas with Glen Faulkner and Randy Burris officiating. Burial will be in Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, Arkansas, there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
