Dennis Craig Greeson
Obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of Dennis Greeson. He passed unexpectedly Wednesday March 31st, 2023 in Fayetteville Arkansas with his family by his side. Dennis was born October 25th, 1954 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Denwood and Mildred (Reigel) Greeson. An Eagle Scout as a boy later graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1972.
He worked in several Dillons grocery stores in Fayetteville and Springfield, just like his dad and brother. He was relocated to Springfield, Mo in 1980 and eventually moved back to Arkansas in 2009. He took flying lessons as a teenager and was fascinated by airplanes throughout his life. He was the owner of Total Compliance Consultants for 30 years and was a long time volunteer firefighter for Battlefield Fire Dept, working his way up to assistant chief. He enjoyed watching sports, playing softball and golf. He was an avid Nascar fan. You might remember him for his big red "box" trailer that he took to Talladega and Bristol yearly. He was the mastermind behind his infamous "Talladega Cheese Dip." When he wasn't watching Nascar, he was mowing, fishing, or causing a ruckus wherever he could! He loved his family and pets dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew Matthew Greeson, his beloved yellow lab Sydnee and several other animals that he loved through the years.
He is survived by a daughter, Amber (Rob) Horton; a son Ryan Greeson; granddaughters Ashton (Dakota) Mosley, Meghan and Macy Greeson; a grandson Cody Sandusky; brother Randy (Phyllis) Greeson; six great grandchildren; nephews Adam and Tony Greeson and his cat Tink. We hope everyone remembers our brother, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and uncle with a warm heart and a bowl of Talladega dip, like we will. The checkered flag is waving and Sydnee is ready for a walk. You've won the ultimate race, Papa. We love you and will miss you dearly.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to your local animal shelter in Dennis' memory.
