Obituary

Douglas John Frans

62 a resident of Little Rock, passed away January 19, 2015 at his home. He was born October 27, 1952 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the son of Robert Frans and Marilee Nelson.

He received his Masters in Social Work from UALR and later his Doctorate from the University of Denver. Doug was a Clinical Social Worker and an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor for over 30 years, helping many.

Survivors include two children, Clayton Frans of Little Rock and Molly Frans of Fayetteville; his father, Robert Frans of Fayetteville and his mother, Marilee Nelson of Prairie Grove, two sisters, Cyndy Binder and husband Allen and Catherine Hall and husband Ben all of Prairie Grove, and five nieces.

Memorial service will be held Friday January 23, 2015 10:00 A.M. Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.

Doug was always so easy to talk with and he could articulate his message very effectively. He was a brilliant Soul who loved his children, Molly and Clay, very much!!! I was s sad when I heard if Dougs passing. I went to high school with Doug. He was always so sweet and friendly, and always had a smile or laugh for everyone. His life has been a tribute of the wonderful, caring person that he was. He will be missed by many who's lives he has touched.
