Obituary

Elizabeth Jean Hunter, 90, a resident of Stilwell, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born April 6, 1935 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the daughter of Fred and Josephine "Josie" Madeline (Conduff) Keen.

Jean left high school to work and help support her family. After a few years, she moved to Fort Worth, Texas, and earned her GED. She then went to beauty college and got her license as a beautician. Jean was a good beautician with a large clientele and owned two beauty salons during her 39-year career. She enjoyed gardening, reading, studying her Bible, and taking care of her beloved cat, Murphy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62yrs. Clarence Gilbert Hunter; her parents, two brother, Elmer Keen and Junior Keen; two sisters, Mary Adams and Ruth Ann West.

She is survived by three sons, Steven Hunter and wife Aimee, Michael Hunter and wife Wendy, and Bryan Hunter and wife Leslie; one brother, Ronnie Keen and wife Joye; six grandchildren, Matt Hunter, Jaime Hunter, Keith Hunter, Kevin Hunter, Weston Hunter, and Annabeth Fraim; six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 10, 2026, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM prior to the service.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 10th, 2026, at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Piney Cemetery in Westville, Oklahoma.
