Garry Rex Hurst
67 a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away February 25, 2014 in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born December 6, 1946 at Prairie Grove, the son of Sidney Renzo and Clara May Whited Hurst.
Garry loved and served the Lord with all of his heart, mind, soul and strength. He showed kindness, gentleness, honesty and patience in each area of his life. He attended the Prairie Grove and Lincoln Church of God regularly. Besides enjoying church he liked gardening, farming and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his mother Clara Whited Hurst, his father Renzo Hurst, one son in law Ron Hill, one granddaughter Elisabeth Callahan.
He is survived by one son Roger Hurst of West Fork; three daughters Judy Phipps of Westville, Donna Hill of Springdale, Aimee Callahan of Stilwell; one brother Wayne Hurst; one sister Melba Cluck of Morrow; eighteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 6:00 until 7:00 at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
Funeral Service will be held Friday February 28, 2014 2:00 P.M. Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery Morrow, Arkansas.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

So sorry to hear about Bro. Gary's passing. But one thing I know, he is shouting the streets of Glory, and he isn't doing it from a wheelchair. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.

What an awesome man of God! Bro. Garry was a worshipper! Even when he was very sick, he loved and worshipped God! Bro. Garry believed in faithfulness and holiness. He was an inspriation.
I guess the last words I heard him say before they took him to surgery were, "If I don't come out of this, I'm going to Heaven"! He's finally made it to that city he preached about and sung about... on that ever green shore! Praise you Jesus!!!
