Tributes

What sadness I have in my heart this day for the loss of this very special man, but I rejoice in knowing he is in a home where one day I will see him again. This community is a much better community because this man has taught us love, understanding, caring, humor, dedication, what working was about and how putting God and your family first is the most important thing. He had friends to numerous to mention and the loss and love is felt by so many. God will wrap his arms around his family and friends and we will see him again of this I am sure.

I had the pleasure of first meeting Pug in 1990 when we moved here. While working at Park Place in town I had the opportunity to talk to him on a daily basis. Two years later after leaving the store to work somewhere else, I would always see him in town usually at One Stop. Anytime I seen him he had a smile on his face and a funny story to tell me. Meeting and having people like him in your life for any amount of time is such a blessing. Prayers to his family for their loss.

Uncle Pug was one of a kind., He wasn't really my Uncle, but I remember calling him that. I haven't seen him in yrs. but I know he would have known me & would have given me a big hug had I ran into him. My thoughts & prayers are with you all right now. May God comfort you & help you cope in the rough days ahead. R.I.P. Uncle Pug

What an honor it was to have the opportunity to get to know such a special man and wonderful family. Even when not feeling well and being away from home & in the hospital, Pug always had a great attitude and sense of humor. He was so appreciative of anything you did for him. He would light up when his family came in the room, especially his wife. My heart goes out to Mrs. Slaughter, Lisa, and the whole family. It was very apparent how well loved he was.

His love for his family was outstanding. He was someone to look up to and he always made me feel special. I will miss him and I am looking forward to seeing him again one day.
