Alles Liebe Lilo

Today as I sit and watch my husband fish Hans and his family is on my heart. Hans and his family played such an important role in my life. They took my Garrett in as family his last year of high school. They were all so good to my ornery. I went several years after Garrett's death not visiting, which now I feel shame. I will never forget the day I drove up and got out of the car for a visit.. Hans came down the ramp and asked what took so long. I never answered him...i wish i had. I ways felt such guilt when I came to visit after Garrett's death because when there all I could do was cry. I so wanted Garrett to walk in the door with James and Jonathan like old times. I felt I was putting a burden on them and not allowing them to enjoy life or their memories of Garrett. I am thankful I finally made my way back to the Hoerlers. I enjoyed my time with them laughter, coffee and conversations. I will never forget my time spent with Hans, it was an honor to be considered his friend. I look forward to the day I can go visit his wife, sons, and grandchildren. I will sit on the back porch looking our across the fields remembering Hans and Garrett Much love Patricia
