Jacob Daniel McWhorter
Obituary
Jacob Daniel McWhorter of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2026, at the age of 44. Born on November 23, 1981, in Fayetteville, AR, he was raised there by his mother, Lynn Ann (Bland), until her marriage to Tommy Davis in 1996, after which they moved to Farmington.
From a young age, Jacob was high-spirited, stubborn, and quick to laugh. He was rarely shy and loved to entertain people. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 2000, though never much of a fan of traditional education. Jacob possessed a keen mind and was a quick learner in other settings. His talents and hobbies were varied and numerous: he attended clown camp, learned magic, did a passable Elvis impression, worked for many years as a professional cook, and was briefly known as Jake Fury, a mohawk-sporting, motorcycle-riding personality featured on the local news, which he also helped produce. He was the epitome of a class clown, with a clever wit and quick mouth that, at times, landed him in hot water. Though Jacob faced many challenges in his life, he never lost his ability to find humor in a situation. He was, at his core, a kind person with a gentle heart and a devoted, loving son who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Lynn Ann Davis; her husband, Tommy; his aunt, Cathy Patterson; his uncles, Buddy Patterson and Alan Bland; his cousins, Seth and Caleb Patterson, and his cat MuMu. He was preceded in death by his father, Dan McWhorter, his Granny and Pa, and his uncle David Bland.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M Saturday, January 31th, 2026, at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jacob's name to Friends of the Prairie Grove Pound.

Lynn,
I know Jacob was your whole world. Sons are such a gift, and you loved him so deeply. What starts as a little boy grows into a man, and Jacob became a good one. He had his moments when he wasn’t sure which way he was headed, but he always had you. You never stopped lifting him up, encouraging him, and believing in him.
I could always see how much he loved his momma—it was written all over his face. I’ll never forget hearing him say, “I love you, Mom,” every time he called or stopped by the shop. That love said everything about the bond you shared and the heart you raised.
My heart aches for you more than words can say. I am so grateful I got to know Jacob. It was truly an honor, and I will always carry that with me.
Leslie Tabor - Lynn’s Friend

Lynn we are so sorry to hear of Jacob’s passing. I haven’t had to do this and I pray I never do but I can only imagine the pain you are feeling. Our thoughts and prayers are with you
