October 5, 1940 - Northwest Arkansas Times - FUNERAL SERVICE HELD FOR LINCOLN MAN - Lincoln, October 5, 1940 - Funeral services for James A. Broome, 90, who died at his home Monday after a long illness, was conducted at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Wendesday afternoon by Rev. Ed Jackson, pastor of the local Baptist Church. Burial was in the Dutch Mills cemetery. Service at the grave was held by the I.O.O.F. lodge of which he was a member. he is survived by seven children, four daughters; Mrs. J.G. Schoopaul, Bartonville, Tex., Mrs. Suzie Ellis, Graham, Tex., Mrs. Carlie Hardcastle and Miss Kate Broome, Lincoln; three sons: J.G. Broome, Marysville, Calif., G.F. Broome, Santa Cruz, Calif., O.A. Broome, Muskogee, Okla; one brother, 44 grandchildre, 31 great grandchildren.
