James "Sonny" Smith
67, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away August 17, 2006 at his home in Lincoln. He was born November 15, 1938 at Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the son of Jimmy W. and Pearle (Peggy) Eads Smith.
He attended the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church. Sonny was a retired Mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and one brother Tommy Smith.
The family will receive friends, Sunday afternoon from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Grant Smith of the home; two sons, Jimmy Smith and his wife Marquita of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Bill Smith and his wife Tammy of West Fork, Arkansas; three daughters, Kerri Brady and her husband Chris of Lincoln, Arkansas, Diane Corey and her husband Ron of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and Kim Wright and her husband, Joey of Sugar Hill, Georgia; one brother, Harold Smith and his wife Ann of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 21, 2006 - 10:00 A.M. at the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church near Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with Bro. Glen Faulkner officiating. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church - Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Jim Smith, Tom Smith, Bill Smith, Joey Wright, Dean Smith and Chris Brady.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Corey, Al Moats, Kevin Logue, Lalo Garcia and Preston Smith.

we're thinking of you peggy. it's me charlotte, if yu just need someone to talk to I'll be here , if you just need a smile I'll give you one. I know he will be truly missed. But you will alwayshave a guardian angel watching over yu- least he was always that kind soul to me, he was always laughing , caring, joking around, being his funny self- never let things get him down. fun loving souls seem to be that way. as for the rest of the family- I do think all that it takes is for everyone to know he sees you now and is smiling at you and knows you cared for him alot and I am praying for each and everyone of you to bring peace and strength soon to you hearts..I do know it is hard..god bless you all.will be thinking of you all....
