Obituary
Janice Ann (Hobbs) Edmiston left this life on Sunday, December 11, 2022 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born December 31, 1947 in Tulsa Oklahoma, the second child of W.O. and Merle A. (Hudson) Hobbs.
Janice lived in Oklahoma, California and Arkansas during her early years, eventually marrying Dennis Edmiston in May 27, 1965.
Dennis and Janice settled in Lincoln Arkansas, with their three sons, Jeff, Steven and Marty. The home in Lincoln was lost to a fire in 1976 and the family relocated to Prairie Grove.
She received her hair stylist license and had a small shop of her own for a time. She later returned to her position at Levi Strauss, where she continuously worked until the factory closed and she retired. Following her retirement, she attended National Technical Institute in Fayetteville, where she earned her certification in medical coding.
Janice enjoyed cooking for her family. Janice was an avid reader and had an inquisitive mind. She was constantly reading mysteries, true crime and fiction of all kinds. When her eyesight began to fail, she continued her love of literature by listening. She loved reality TV, especially the courtroom shows such as Judge Judy and Judge Maybelline, and anything with a surprise ending. She enjoyed shopping and her primary love language was gift giving.
