Jerry Lee Vickery

69, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away June 8, 2008 at his home near Prairie Grove. He was born October 11, 1938 at Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the son of Grant Lee Fate and Julia Evelyn Phillips Vickery.

He was a member of the Christ's Church of Fayetteville where he served as an Elder. He was a life long resident of the Prairie Grove area.

Jerry was preceded in death by one half brother, Eldon Lacey and one half sister, Helen Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Sue Vickery of the home; one son, Johnny Lee Vickery and one daughter, Karie Sue Vickery both of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two sisters, Geneva Sinor of Farmington, Arkansas, and Carma Lorenz of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one half-sister, Mary Lena Phillips of Farmington, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Colby Lee Vickery, Eric Hamilton, Sonja Hamilton, Kelly Rocha, Karen Vickery, Darian Vickery, Kinley Vickery and Sydney Vickery; two great grandchildren, Taci Vickery and Dakota Davis.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday afternoon from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 10:00 A.M. at the Christ's Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with James Huffman and L. V. Vickery officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leon Phillips, Junior Phillips, Donnie Phillips, Gary Phillips, Dwight Phillips, and Carroll Hudson.
