So very sad to hear about Ms. Jewell. She was deffinately a one of a kind lady and will be missed, but we take comfort in knowing where she is now and that she knew God. I will miss her picking out songs for me to sing. :) May God wrap his loving arms around her family and comfort them in their time of need. If there is anything we can do please let us know. I remember all the choir practices we had. I'm sure we drove Jewel crazy with all the laughing and carrying on. But those are some of the best memories I have. Jewel was a great lady and she will be missed by all.

Johnny, Joy, and Jody...as well as family members:Jewell Cheatham had kind words at every interaction I ever had with her. Even though it has been over 4 decades since I have regularly spoken with Jewel, I know in my heart that she has influenced people from all walks of life to be better citizens, better family members and just kinder people in daily life. I can only imagine how much the grandchildren and other family members will miss her. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. There are circumstances that will prevent me from being at the visitation or service, but my heart is with the family. Lonnie Myers

I met Jewel a few years ago when she & J.F. moved into Peachtree and I began taking care of her hair there in the salon for them both. Jewel always had a smile for me and was always happy to have her hair done. It was a pleasure to know her if only for a short while. Rest easy now Ms. Jewel......see you again in heaven one day.

Jewell was a great inspiration to me growing up. She always was ready to give a testimony during church, and always ready to serve our Lord here on earth or to meet him in the air!

I just heard of Jewel's passing, and my heart breaks for the family she loved so deeply. I am so sorry for your loss Johnny, Joy, and Jody...and all of you who she counted as family and friends. There were many years when I wasn't sure which status I was in, for she always made me feel completely at home and as close as family. Few people give as freely of themselves and their time as Jewel did throughout her life. She deserves the reward of some rest, now. I know she is going to be singing in God's choir for eternity, which is where she always knew she'd be.
