Tributes

The Durby family is so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Pearcy was an incredible teacher to my daughter at Owl Creek. Please remember she molded thousands of future leaders.
Avonia Durby - Friend

Joanne was a coworker of mine at Jefferson Elementary. She was one of the kindest and most dedicated teachers I have known ! She will be greatly missed!
Tonya Childress - Friend

Jo-Anne helped me immensely on my teacher path. I worked first with her at Jefferson in 2000 then she made with several others the move to Owl Creek. She stood up for her friends and colleagues when she felt they were being wronged. Jo-Anne was always patient, caring and loving when working both with children and novice teachers like I was. I have several books that she has given me over the years. I cherish them and talk to my students about how great of a person she was.
