Daddy you were one of the smartest men I have ever known & you only had a 3rd grade education. You have taught me so much, mostly when I was young & didn't even realize it until I got older. You lived a good life & had a good death. I know you would not have wanted to continue living if you couldn't be active anymore. You are at rest with Mama, Carl, yours & Mama's family & many friends. I love & miss you both!!! R.I.P.
Christie Barker - You Youngest Daughter

Karen Williams - Niece

Grandad, I must say that you lived a very long and full life! I am blessed to have aquired the gift from you to read people, you always knew exactly what to say, in order to get anything you wanted from this old-world. Learning from you has made the men of the Asher Clan a solid bunch! You were a great man with pride and integrity, you took good care of my best friend for 65 years! My Granny never needed for nothing! You raised some damn good kids, trapped many of pelts and spoiled us Grandkids! You were the last true Mountain-man! I don't recon that there is anything you could not do! Throne and only time that you had to take a hickory switch to Jeremy and myself was the one memory I made with my Grandad Asher, that I could have done without!!! You keep the varmit's down up there in the place God promised for us! I will be to see you, Granny and the rest of the family who already made it to the promised land! I'll keep both the two-legged and four-legged varmit's down to a minimum until we meet again! I love you Grandpa Asher! Your Outlaw Grandson!! Jason Levi Barker
