Obituary

Kayla Danielle Davis Bailey of Prairie Grove, AR, the answer to many prayers, born November 9, 1979 in Russellville, AR, passed from this earthly life and is now reunited with her father, Danny Davis, and our Lord Jesus, with the love of her life by her side on December 15, 2025 in Fayetteville, AR. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and deep devotion to those she held dear. Her life, though far too brief, was marked by compassion, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family and friends, especially her love for Dale, Tate, and Addison.

Kayla was known for her warm smile, gentle spirit, her ability to whisper to almost any critter, her amazing fortitude, her incredible devotion to family, her deep belief in herself, her unwavering faith in God and the way she made others feel seen and valued. She carried herself like the farmgirl she was, with grace, sincerity, some no-nonsense toughness and clear opinions while offering encouragement and laughter wherever she went. Her presence brought comfort, and her love left a lasting imprint on the hearts of many.

Family was at the center of Kayla’s life. A proud daddy’s girl, she was heartbroken when her father passed away too early as well. She kept his memory alive by sharing pictures of him on social media sites often. She cherished time spent with loved ones and found joy in everyday moments—conversations, shared memories, and simple acts of togetherness. She thoroughly enjoyed this time of year in particular, which she made Christmas special for her children and looked forward to seeing her extended family in Tilly, AR. She was a loyal friend, a devoted family member, and a source of strength to those who knew her.

Kayla is survived by her husband Dale Bailey, her son Tate Bailey, her daughter Addison Bailey, her mother Daveline Davis of Pottsville, her brother Daniel (Megan) Davis of Pottsville, a beloved niece, Kinley Egger and two nephews, Caleb and Rhett, many extended family members and a plethora of friends and peers. She is also survived by a multitude of fur babies, hers and others, who loved her with wags and purrs. She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Earl Davis.

Several weeks ago, Kayla was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Her response was to tackle the scourge head-on with positivity and resolve. The consummate fighter, she battled the disease admirably, concealing the pain and misery as best she could. Unfortunately for those of us on earth, the cancer took its toll, and hastened her ascent into Heaven. A lifelong Christian, Kayla’s faith buoyed her throughout this tribulation.

A visitation for Kayla will be on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Summers Missionary Baptist Church in Summers, AR from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a service to begin at 3:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at Dutch Mills Cemetery under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Kayla’s memory to the Summers Missionary Baptist Church, 22055 US 62 West, Summers, AR 72769.

Kayla will be remembered, not only for who she was, but for how she made others feel: loved, supported, and understood. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she so freely gave.

She is deeply missed and forever remembered.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I didn’t know her well but I know she was a beautiful girl. Praying for God to comfort your family during this time of sorrow.

To the Bailey family: My name is Howard Caudle. I knew Kayla as a child who attended school at Pottsville. I was elementary principal during those years and was privileged to watch Kayla grow and develop into a beautiful young lady. But more importantly, Kayla was my close relative. Her dad and I were first cousins and were close from a very young age. Although Kayla and her dad were taken so soon, I find comfort in having known them and hope that you will also be comforted by the many wonderful memories each of you have of Kayla. May God’s comforting hand be upon you.
Howard Caudle - Second Cousin

The Master's Builders Family share in the grief of Kayla's homegoing far too soon! We will continue to pray for Dale, Tate, and Addison, as well as the rest of the family in the coming days. Praying for the comfort that only our heavenly father can give us during these times of loss and sadness.
Rosemarie Bittner - Master's Builders
Praying for comfort from the Holy Spirt, the Only One Who truly can. Kayla was/is an amazing person. From the moment I met her in the 3rd grade she was always kind. She always smiled, always included you. From classes together, climbing on the spider bars, taking pictures in our sun glasses, writing English papers, playing basketball, her teaching me to line dance, lifting weights, running suicides during practice, having secret conversations we didn’t tell anyone else, to just laughing like idiots…so many memories. Still could never figure out how she got her bangs to do that. Never a hair out of place & flawless makeup. I don’t think she even knew what a zit was. Just beautiful, inside & out. Kayla was a force.

Our hearts and prayers are with Dale, the children, Daveline, and all of Kayla's family. She was a beautiful soul. I have such fond memories of her from our teenage years. She truly was one of a kind. Though my heart breaks for those She has left behind, I rejoice that she has found completeness and peace at the feet of her Savior.

I wish I had the right words of comfort. My thoughts and continued prayers are with you.

When my dad passed away, for many weeks after Kayla would make sure to come and hug me, talk and pray for me, she always had such a caring and loving way to her. I sure appreciated the thoughtfulness at that time and it will never be forgotten. Like so many my heart is so heavy for all of her family and I will be diligently praying for all, just as she would have. She definitely is leaving behind a lasting impression and will be forever missed.

Kayla was the best friend. She spoke the truth to you always, she was kind and generous and gave the absolute best hugs. She loved, she forgave, she served, she was present. I will miss her so much.

Kayla was always right there behind home plate with me, cheering on our baseball boys. She was one of the best baseball momma's who always showed up in every way. Those games were about more than baseball- they were about laughs, friendship, and making memories together. It won't be the same without Kayla in the stands, but I know she will be cheering loud from heaven and have the best view.

Sweet Kayla, I know you will be missed by so many! How can you not love that infectious smile and beautiful soul?!? My heart breaks for you Dale and those previous kids. I’ll never forgot working with Kayla at the courthouse. We got to take a picture together at the horse races a few years ago that I still have. She made sure to reach out to me after my dad passed in July because she knew that pain herself and wanted to make mine better. What a beautiful angel you have watching over you now, cheering you on throughout this earthly journey until you see her again!

Kayla stepped into our lives when she worked for Coulter Physical Therapy in 2003. We then over time saw her marry and move to NWA. I was fortunate enough to be taken in my her mother Daveline and her special family friend Bentley Hollingsworth as a walking buddy. The ties to her family increased as Daniel and Meg Davis with the boys became friends of ours as well. I’ve walked the Bona Dea trails with Addison while she was with her Granny Daveline. I’ve heard so often the stories of love and adventure that Kayla has had. From her Noddling with her brother to seeing her in 5K runs, watching family videos of fire throwing in Tilly. Thanks to her mom Daveline, I have shared in Kayla’s life. Kayla was quite the wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend of many. My sympathies and prayers to the family of Kayla.

Friends you make in 4H are friends you make for life, and I'm greatful for her friendship. She was a prime example of how a person should treat their neighbor, and the world is a darker place without her. Rest easy my friend.

Sorry for your loss. I haven't known you all long but what little time I've gotten to know you. I know Kayla was a good woman who loved the Lord. Prayers for you and your family.

Dear Dale & family, My sincere prayers go to all of you. I got to know Kayla when she worked at the courthouse in Harrison. On January 1, 2009 I got my first teacup yorkie from Kayla. Whenever I took my little Presley to visit at the courthouse, he remembered and loved Kayla too! He would always run find her desk to say hello. She will forever be loved and missed.
