Kenneth Malcom Cooke
72, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away, June 1, 2007 at his home near Prairie Grove after a long struggle with Cancer. He was born August 12, 1934 at Palastein, Texas. He was the only son of Noah Richard and Opal Inez Petterson Cooke.
Kenneth was a long time resident of Prairie Grove. He retired from Cessna Aircraft after twenty-three years of service in Wichita, Kansas. He also retired from Superior Wheel of Fayetteville with eleven years of service. He was active with National Guard for three and a half years. He was an avid Razorback fan and enjoyed Bowling, Reading, watching westerns, birdwatching and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Cooke of the home; three sons, Jessie Cooke of Wichita, Kansas, Noah Cooke, and Mike Cooke both of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; three daughters,
Ouida Cooke and Robin Sutton both of Wichita, Kansas, and Katherine Cooke of Lincoln, Arkansas; four step sons, Bill Adkins of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, James Adkins of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mike Adkins of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Nathan Lawson Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one step daughter, Christina Harrington, of Wichita, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 4, 2007 - 2:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel, Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with Paul Woodhouse officiating. Burial will be in Sharp Cemetery, near Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society 3291 S. Thompson Suite D 1 - Springdale, AR 72764.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Cooke, Aaron Cooke, Tony Ashier, Mike Adkins, Buddy Meeks, and Bill Adkins.
