Lavina Newingham Florio of Fayetteville, Arkansas died Sunday, October 21, 2012
After increasing long-term health issues. She was 91.
Born in Keiser, Arkansas on October 2, 1921 to Eddie and Olpha Dills. Her early life and school years were spent in Parma,Missouri. She spent much of her life in Chicago, Illinois and Springdale, Arkansas. She was an active member of Cross Church Springdale. She was an avid traveler, enjoyed her canasta group and spending time with family and friends.
Lavina was preceded in death by her husband Wilson Newingham, her second husband Gene Florio, siblings Curtis Dills, JC Dills and Ruth Ferguson, daughter Eddie Jane Doster, son-in-law Larry Doster, and great- grandson Matthew Anderson.
Beloved mother of Doug (Jan) Newingham.
Loving grandmother to Debbie (Steve) Anderson, Tracy (David) Zurborg, Travis (Elizabeth) Doster, Mike (Kari) Newingham, Curt Newingham, and Ashley (David) Bednash.
Doting great grandmother to Katie and Emily Anderson; Andrew, Philip and William Zurborg; Mike, Megan, and Molly Newingham; Samuel and Nicholas Doster; and Matthew and Maggie Bednash.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 25, 2012 at at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Charlie Foster and Ken Stone officiating. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
