Profoundly sad to hear about the passing of a very sweet lady. I remember as a teen I developed a special bond with Loretta as she would come into Montgomery Wards and she would make her way to the men's dept where I worked to see how I was doing. We used to visit each time she was in the store. This bond carried over as I became an adult. I always loved to see Loretta. She was the epitome of love and kindness. I was able to call Loretta a couple weeks ago to say my final goodbye to her. I wanted her to know what her encouragement and kindness meant to me all those years and I wanted her to know that she made such an impact in my life and for that I am extremely blessed and greatful. My heart aches for Donald and Ronnie and the family, for I know the earthly loss of such a jewel is both sad and devastating. But rest in knowing that Loretta impacted many lives and that her legacy of love and kindness will forever live on through her family and those whose lives she touched. Our prayers are with each of you during this time. We pray that God give you peace and comfort and that He wraps His arms of love around you.

Jon Winkler - Great Nephew

"Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue." (Prov. 31:25-26) These verses describe our sweet Aunt Loretta. Never have we known anyone who has consistently demonstrated the love, gentleness and kindness of Jesus like Aunt Loretta. She has taught us all about Christ through her life. We grieve losing her. But we do not grieve without the hope of heaven and being with her again someday.

Loretta always met me with a big smile, cheerful voice and a hug. Such a sweet lady whose memory will live on and shared with our children as part of their heritage.

Loretta was named after me. her father, Jake, was my mother's brother. I love Loretta and Donald very much. wish I could be there. I love Buster so very much, too. Teresa has many stars in her crown

I am sure there was rejoicing in heaven when Loretta arrived, but here on earth there is a void that cannot be filled. she was that rare person who touched so many lives in the short time she was among us. I always thought what made her so rare was that she could love without 'conditions'. Rich or poor, our skin color, our background, our faults. None of this mattered to Loretta--she just loved us. This earth will be a poorer place without her. She left us too soon.
Joanne & Willis Winkler - Niece

So sorry to hear about Loretta's passing. She was such a sweet person. Cherish all of your memories.

Over the years Loretta has meant an encouraging word, a loving heart, a Christ like attitude all wrapped up in a cherry smile and twinkling eyes. She was a "one of a kind" good person. We know you will miss her and only God can fill that empty place in your hearts. Our love and prayers are with you.
