Tributes

Our condolences to all of you. We have been so fortunate to have your Mom share her life with us, whether in Lincoln or Seattle. She has been a bright star to many of us. She will be greatly missed. I am sure that as you look up to the heavens, there will be a brand new shining star and that is Kay watching over us.

I met Kay once, near the end of her life, her radiance undimmed by illness or circumstance. I have seen the tracks of her life in those around her and know that she was an on-going inspiration to many. My condolences to all of you who will miss her so greatly, and thanksgiving for the time you were able to share. May the Lord bless and keep you and make His face to shine upon you.

I loved Kay so much! We hadn't been together much since she moved to Arkansas but she has been such a huge part of my life. I was married in her living room. Jason & Donna, you were so privileged to be able to spend the last few years of her life having her so close! God bless all of you!

Kay was such dear friend. I remember the times at her house when the boys were young and full of energy. I so admired her for being a single parent and raising three great kids. She truly was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew her.

I'm told Kay used to babysit my brother and I when we first moved to Lincoln. After coming to Wisconsin we came back to Nebraska every year and made time to visit all the Swick's. I always thought Kay was so pretty, friendly and a great cook. My sympathies to Jason and Mike and their families, and to Ray and Flo and their family. Rest in peace Kay.

I will always remember the holiday get-togethers and all of the glorious food. Mama Kay was a wonderful hostess so full of love and kindness and would do anything for anyone. I am blessed to have had her in my life and my heart is fuller having known her love. Thoughts and prayers and all my love to all the Davis family and everyone who loved Kay whose hearts are also hurting. May we all find peace.

Jason, Donna, Nina and family, I was so sorry to hear of Kay's passing. I am so glad that she spent her last time with your family. I am sure that made her very happy. It was a privilege knowing her and being her sister-in-law those many years ago. She was always such a gentle person. All of you are in my prayers. Love, Lynda

It is not often you meet someone that truly fits the phrase "to know them is to like/love them" but Kay was that person.
