Tributes

My Grandma Bear was the sweetest grandma there was. We were separated by distance, but not a day went by when I didn't feel love for her and loved by her. My kids and I will cherish our special memories of "Ma Bear Mail" for years to come. Thank you to all the Arkansas family that took such good care of her. <3

So sorry about Aunt Lou's passing- but so pleased that she is in Heaven feeling good and enjoying a nice visit with friends and family who have passed before her. Maybe she and D.E. are sharing stories as we speak. Love to you all.

What a pleasure to have known Aunt Lou. She was always saying to me, "I wish you and Babs could go somewhere" and some times we did. Often she would comment that she wasn't sure she was really a member of the family because she wasn't interested in sports and everyone else was. What a great lady she was.

I loved Aunt Lou! The first time I met her I knew she was full of life. I always enjoyed visiting with her. She made me candy at Christmas! I know she will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Ma Bear was just amazing to me. She was funny and sassy and sweet and sharp as a tack right up until the end. I am grateful my wife had the opportunity to meet her and, although she never met her great-granddaughter, i am so very happy we had the chance to share her birth and photos with her. I will miss her every time i eat pecans or sees candy and every time i hear someone say "bye bye" or the word "yonder".

I am very grateful for the time I got to spend with Ma Bear. She was always upbeat, always loving, and always made me feel like a part of a bigger family. I will always hold on to the stories she told, and to the visits we had when I was in Arkansas. Thank you Babs, Charles and family, and Sarah for taking such good care of Ma Bear. --Love, Mike Landrum
