Lyn Ann (Griffin) England
Age 67, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville, Arkansas after a long battle with cancer. Lyn was born January 22, 1958 in Killeen, Texas to Martin Wilson Griffin and Nell Marie (Cox) Griffin.
Lyn grew up in Van Buren, Arkansas and graduated from VBHS in 1976. She received her Bachelor of Social Work in 1991 from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and her Masters of Social Work in 1993 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Lyn worked in her field in Central and Northwest Arkansas for 21 years, retiring from the Veteran's Health System in Fayetteville in 2020.
Lyn loved the work she did and made many lifelong friends along the way. In recent years she enjoyed being with those friends whether at the lake or having dinner out. Those friendships meant the world to her.
Lyn is survived by her mother, Nell Griffin and siblings Melissa Griffin Elmore and Wayne Griffin (Cindy), nephews Kyle Elmore (Kathleen) and their children Aria and Parker, Michael Griffin (Emily Ann) and their children Liam and Noah, and Sam Griffin (Taylor). She is also survived by her beloved fur babies Gracie and Toby.
Lyn was preceded in death by her father, Martin Griffin, Grandparents and her husband Stephen England. The love of her life.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff with Highland Oncology and Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic for their compassionate care over the years and particularly the last eight months.
