Words are never much when you lose a loved one, but when you lose a loved one in such a tragic way it is so hard to understand. The many friends and family you have are here for you if you need us. Just know that she and Buck are together in their final home. God bless you all, and rest in Peace Mamie and Buck....

I actually never had the honor or privledge to meet Mamie. I had many phone converations with her and knew she was a wonderful lady. She made Buck very happy. She was a wonderful hostess to Buck's grandson, Ryan and great grand daughter, Kayla on their visits this year to Arkansas ( Ryan is my son ). They will both be missed very much. My pryers and thoughts go to Mamie's family and to Ruth and Richard for their bravery. God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear of Mamie's loss. I wasnt able to meet her husband but Im sure he was a great man also. Mamie was always so good to my pappaw (Lavell), you coudnt ask for a better person.I have always been told that she took care of him while he was sick and also before he passed away. As a child I visited them nearly every summer and we were always doing something fun. She loved gardening and I think that is why I have such a love for gardening now. I know that she will be greatly missed and Im so sorry to hear this! Love Leslie Gourley - O'Neal

I will never forget Grandma Mami. I have many fond memories of visiting at Mami's house in the summer with Christee when we were children. I will always remember Mami teaching us how to make girls out of the flowers from her beautiful garden. I am very sorry for your loss. I will always smile when I think of Grandma Mami.

Mamie worked with me at the Town House Rest. In the '70's and cleaned house for my Mother(Ruth Haley) in the 90's. I have one of her quilts on my bed.I saw her a few years ago at the Apple Festival. She said she had never been happier. I am glad she had those happy years.

To Mamie's family, Mamie was the sweetest lady. We had many fun times together when we visited each other whether it be in North Arkansas or the Deep South Arkansas, and when she moved to South Arkansas. Gone but never forgotten, I will miss her as I know you all will also. Sincerely, Renee Gourley McCracken.
