Obituary

Martin Hunter Hileman, age 72, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away February 12, 2026. He was born July 21, 1953 to Leslie Hileman and Martha Hileman Westberg in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his father Leslie Hileman, and mother Martha Hileman Westberg.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Brisco) Hileman of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two daughters, Heather (Hileman) Lemmon of Long Beach, California and Sarah Hileman of the home; two sisters, Rebecca Lancaster and Richard of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Victoria McKinney and Tom of West Fork, Arkansas.
He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1971 and received a BA degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Arkansas in 1978. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked 25 years for Standard Register, seven years in Fayetteville, Arkansas and 18 years for their corporate office in Dayton, Ohio. He was awarded seven United States patents for bar code and smart card technology. In 1987 he served as chairman for a committee that wrote barcode standards for the automotive industry. He volunteered five years at Life Ministries in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and was a member of Prairie Grove Christian Church.
There will be a private family memorial service at a later date with burial at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, AR will handle funeral arrangements.
