Tributes

Bill and Katie and family, your mother was a very special person. I haven't seen her in years but I often thought of her. She will be missed.
Phyllis Langrell Fennell - friend

Our prayers and thoughts go out to you. Aunt Mildred Lacy was a very special person, and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed, but her lagacy will continue through her beautiful children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Larry and Shirley York - Nephew

I will always remember the summers spent in Prairie Grove with Aunt Mildred and Uncle James. Bill and I would bring in the cows for milking and feed them. Early in the morning we would go frog hunting and Uncle James would delight in shining his flashlight in the water, exposing cotton mouth snakes all around us. Bill and I would jump up on his shoulders for safety. Aunt Mildred would fry the frog legs for a great breakfast.
Her fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy were the best.
Above all I always felt loved by her and she always had a kind word and a caring heart.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Our deepest sympathies to Bill, Cathy and the family.

Memail you will ever be our light, our rock guiding and protecting us. I will miss your hugs, your laughs, and your quiet love. My favorite times with you were those priceless hours spent gardening, canning, crocheting, embroidering or simply listening to you. Your arms were always my safe space and they were always there when a storm raged. Your example and care helped make me who I am and will forever inspire me to do my best. I love you and will ever carry you with me in my heart and thoughts.

The heavenly Angels are singing today in celebration of Mildred Lacy life! She will be joining Mary Louise and my mom, Josephine and so many others we love in that special place promised for those who believe and follow Him. Mildred Lacy was an amazing woman who loved, cared, and gave to her family and friends. She had that calming spirit, that peace and that glow that drew others to her. She will be greatly missed and we are all better to have known her. I have lots of fond memories with her, particularly around vacations; milking cows twice a day (except getting up at 5 am), checking the chicken houses, gathering yummy vegetables from her garden, gigging for frogs, setting catfish lines, catching lightning bugs, sitting outside with the family after a wonderful dinner specially prepared by her, and swinging in that old tree in the front yard. I loved also being around my cousins, Mary Jane, Cathy and Bill. My fondest memories with my cousins was going to University of Arkansas, swimming in the local lakes and going to Bill's two a day football practices. We love you Mildred and always will - Thanks for making a difference in my life and others you have touched. To God is the Glory!
