Nova studied at the University of Wyoming where she earned a degree in Music Education. She was passionate about all of the arts, especially music. Throughout her life she was involved with the arts, whether it was giving music lessons to children, running a 4-H theater group, or volunteering at her childrens' school. She was a very creative person, always helping friends and neighbors with decorating their homes, sewing Halloween costumes or costumes for a play, or helping make friends daughters prom dresses. She loved to cook and was famous for her fried chicken and chocolate chip cookies. Every time her children had friends over, (which was often) she always had a warm batch of cookies ready for them to enjoy, as requested! She enjoyed sports, traveling and animals, especially horses. Her children can attest that they had one of almost every kind of pet their home throughout their childhoods, from pet mice, snakes and tarantula to birds, horses and a donkey. She always encouraged her children to try new things, different sports, musical instruments, riding lessons, 4-H, various clubs, and was always their to help and support those interests. She had a infectious zest for life and always made every day activities fun.
Survivors include her children Misti Taylor of Chico, CA, Derrick Cedars of Bethel, AK, Jeffrey Zimmerschied of Columbia MO, two nieces, two nephews and three granddaughters.
She was laid to rest in Prairie Grove Cemetery where her mother, father, sister and grandparents as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles are.
A memorial will be held at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove on July 18, at 1:30 PM.
