I DIDN'T SPEND ALOT OF TIME WITH NANA, BUT I HAVE FOND MEMORIES. I ALWAYS THOUGHT SHE WAS SUCH A STRONG AND BRAVE WOMAN. I LOVE TO HEAR THE STORIES OF HER RIDING HER LAWNMOWER, KILLING THE BLACK SNAKES AND SHOOTING THE GOPHERS. MY KIDS, JACK & HANNAH, HAD ONLY MET HER ONE TIME. THEY STILL TALK ABOUT OUR TRIP THERE WHICH WAS ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO. THEY ALSO ENJOY THE STORIES AND CAN'T BELIEVE SOME OF THE CRAZY THINGS THEIR NANA DID. ALTHOUGH I WAS NOT CLOSE WITH NANA, I'M SURE I SEE THE KIND OF WOMAN SHE WAS THROUGH MY MOM, PAT. LOVING, CAREING AND GIVING OF HERSELF. DEBI JACKSON

Just a few of the things I will miss about my Nana... the 7:00 a.m. wake up calls on my birthdays, having her check “the signs” in her trusty almanac, her home remedies and those delicious recipes only she could make. Love, Kelli

Nana, I love you very much and will miss you a lot. I will miss your delicious apple pies, your famous chicken and dressing, and your early morning call on my birthday to sing me "Happy Birthday". I will always remember you "waving on the corner" each time we left your house. It definitely won't be the same without you. Love Always, Anesa

We remember Opal as a very godly lady. Everytime she was so neat & courteous to everyone. It was always a Joy to get to visit with her. I talked to her many times when staying at Mom's. She kept me up-to-date on each of you children & grandchildren. She was proud of her family and loved all of you very much. Someday we will go on home too. May God comfort each of you in the days ahead.
