Richard Allen Kestner
Age 53, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born February 8, 1967 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Steve and Leslie Kestner.
Rick graduated from Catholic Central in Springfield in 1985 and went on to attend Belmont Abbey in North Carolina where he played basketball until 1986 entered into the Air Force serving 2 tours of duty in Greece and Spain during Operation Desert Storm. He then returned to the States where he made his way to Oregon where he met and later married his wife Heather (Hemmes) Kestner. Rick was a proud veteran of the Air Force, a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Rick loved watching and coaching his daughter Olivia and others in basketball as well as spending time with friends and family.
Rick is survived by his wife, Heather Kestner; one daughter Olivia Kestner of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one son Joshua Kestner of Lancaster, California; his parents Steve and Leslie Kestner of Springfield, Ohio; one brother Christopher Kestner and his wife Erin of Green, Ohio; uncles Jim and Larry Kestner of Springfield, OH; seven nieces; 2 grand daughters.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Ed and Verna Stone and Leonard and Edith Kestner as well as a very special great aunt Mildred (Mid) Kestner and nephew Ethan Kazmerzak.
Due to COVID 19, there are currently no services scheduled but may be at a later date.
