We're proud to have had Carter as a neighbor and as a friend that we will truly miss. Our prayers & thoughts are with y'all during this time.

Carter was a great and loving neighbor. He was like a grandfather to me. His woodwork was beautiful and I will cherish everything that he made for me. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers and I am grateful to have known such a kind and giving person.

Carter was a dear friend and we always enjoyed talking to him. He called me "Shirley Finney." Funny man! I could never resist getting a hug from him. Donnie held him in high regard and admired his carpenter skills.
Donnie And Shirley Jackson - Neighbor

We are so sorry to hear about Carter. I remember him as a kind and funny man who my dad (Kenny) got a kick out of. We will keep your family in our prayers.
Karen (grame) Ziebarth - Cousin Of Sigrid

I will always remember going to the Cincinnati store in the mornings when I was a kid and getting to see Carter. He was always so much fun. I remember going mushroom hunting and getting the name "Mushroom Annie", I never lived it down. I had a lot of fun with him. He will be missed by many.
Chris And Maegan Phillips - Friend/neighbor

Carter was Uncle Hodo to Jack. Every child should be so lucky to have an Uncle Hodo. I sold some scraf holders for him one year and we all went to AQ chicken. He was so much fun. He will be missed by so many.
Jack & Diana Johnson - Uncle

Carter was one of my dad's good friends. He was proud to learn I named my son Karterr. Didn't see him for 20 years, but when he came into Washinton Regional to be my patient, he knew who I was. I remembered him of course and we hugged and got reaquatinted. I think knowing I was caring for him made his admission that day somehow brighter. I am glad I got to be with him at that time.
Jill Barlow - Family Friend

Condolences to the family. Carter was a long time friend and the entire community will miss him greatly.
