Obituary
Roy Gene Rinehart
Age 92, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born June 28, 1932 at the family farmhouse in Morrow, Arkansas, the son of James Henry and Burmah Teressa (Freeman) Rinehart.
Roy Gene retired from the United States Postal Service. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and later joined the Arkansas National Guard to finish out his twenty year service to our country. He was a member of the American Legion for over sixty years. He was also a member of the Lincoln Masonic Lodge. He called BINGO at both the Lincoln Senior Center and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Eva Nell Rinehart.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Bridges Rinehart; two daughters Lynn Warren and her husband Gary of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Kellye Carlson and her husband Richard of Raleigh, North Carolina; two step children Shannon Johnson of Ozark, Missouri, and Kelly Bridges of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; one sister Irmalee Reed and her husband Neal of Morrow, Arkansas; two grandchildren Taylor Jones and his wife Briana, and Jennifer Allen; five step grandchildren Michael Snarr, Chris Cooper, Kristin Sherrets, Katelyn Shephard, and Jennifer Springfield; one great grandson Joseph Allen; numerous step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 2, 2025, 6:00-7:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery in Morrow, Arkansas, there will be no graveside service held.
